Key features & specs

Sustainable materials meet modular design in this comprehensive storage solution.

How it compares

When compared to mass-market particleboard bookcases, The Floyd Shelf stands out due to its real wood construction and heavy-duty steel supports. Unlike fixed-size shelving units, this modular system allows for expansion kits, making it more versatile than standard library-style cases or wall-mounted tracks found at big-box retailers.

What to know before buying

1. Measure your vertical clearance carefully as the steel supports require specific spacing.
2. Assess your wall type, though the unit is designed to be sturdy, wall anchoring is recommended for safety.
3. Select your wood finish to match existing Floyd furniture for a cohesive look.
4. Consider purchasing expansion units now if you anticipate needing more storage in the next two years.

The Floyd Shelf is the last bookcase I will ever buy; it survived three moves and looks brand new thanks to the powder-coated finish.— Verified buyer
