Key features & specs

How it compares

When compared to traditional upholstered bed frames or metal platform bases, the Floyd design stands out for its modularity. Unlike standard wood frames that often use toxic glues or veneers, this product utilizes real birch plywood. It offers significantly more stability than cheap slotted wooden frames and avoids the squeaking common in budget-tier metal alternatives.

What to know before buying

1. Measure your mattress height as this is a low-profile frame sitting only 7.5 inches off the ground.
2. Select the appropriate number of panels; the system can be expanded from Twin to King with additional kits.
3. Ensure your floor is level, as the flat panels rely on even distribution for maximum stability.
4. The steel supports come in different colors, so coordinate with your existing bedroom accents.
5. Be aware that the mattress may shift slightly if a non-slip pad is not utilized on the smooth birch surface.
