How it compares
The Mau Pets Rizzo Cat Tree distinguishes itself from standard carpet-covered cardboard towers by utilizing natural wood branches and replaceable components. While generic scratching posts often require full replacement after months of use, the Rizzo's jute sections can be refreshed, offering better long-term value than disposable alternatives.
How to use it
- Place the base on a flat, even surface in a room where your cat spends significant time.
- Secure the natural wood branch into the pre-drilled base hole using the provided hardware.
- Attach the cushioned platform to the top of the post, ensuring it is tightened for stability.
- Encourage your cat to use the jute scratching area by placing organic catnip on the base.
- Periodically check the tightness of the screws to maintain peak structural integrity.

If your cat is hesitant to use the scratching post, rub a piece of their favorite cloth against the jute to transfer their scent and make it more inviting.
