How it compares
V-Dog differs from newer competitors by sticking to simple, whole-food ingredients like peas, lentils, and quinoa. While some grain-free dog food (plant-based) brands use unconventional starches, V-Dog focuses on time-tested plant proteins that have been vetted by vegan veterinarians for over two decades. It is generally more affordable than boutique air-dried plant foods while maintaining high ethical standards.
How to use it
- Start by mixing 25% V-Dog with 75% of your dog's current food.
- Gradually increase the V-Dog proportion over a 14-day transition period.
- Monitor your dog's stool consistency to ensure proper fiber adjustment.
- For dogs with dental issues, the kibble can be soaked in warm water to soften.
- Keep the bag in a dry, airtight container to prevent the natural oils from oxidizing.
"My vet recommended V-Dog for my dog's severe allergies, and he has never looked or felt better in his life." - Verified buyer
