How it compares
v-dog is one of the pioneers of the plant-based pet food movement. Compared to larger kibble alternatives, the Mini Bites ensure that smaller dogs do not face choking hazards or jaw fatigue. While many grain-free pet foods use potatoes as a filler, v-dog focuses on nutrient-dense legumes like lentils and peas to maintain a lower glycemic index.
How to use it
- Measure the correct portion based on your small dog's weight as per the bag chart.
- If your dog is a senior with dental issues, soak the mini bites in warm water for 5 minutes.
- Introduce the food by mixing 25% v-dog with 75% old food, increasing slowly over a week.
- Monitor your dog's stools to ensure they are adapting well to the increased fiber.
