How it compares
Unlike standard nylon or hard plastic discs, the Hive Disc is made from a soft TPE that is significantly more durable and safer for teeth. It outperforms most plush or fabric toys by being completely waterproof and easy to clean. While not an aggressive chewer's toy, its flexibility allows it to withstand high-velocity catches better than cheaper foam alternatives.
How to use it
- Hold the disc by the textured rim for maximum grip.
- Throw with a flick of the wrist to induce spin for a stable flight path.
- Use in open areas or at the dog park for long-distance exercise.
- Take it to the lake or pool, as the toy is designed to float high on the water surface.
- Clean with soap and water after use to maintain the grip of the TPE material.
"The Hive Disc is the only frisbee my dog hasn't cracked; plus, knowing I'm helping bees makes it a double win." — Verified buyer
Sustainability & ethics
Project Hive Pet Company is a B Corp that donates a portion of every sale to establish wildflower habitats for declining bee populations. The toy itself is 100% recyclable, and because it is made in the USA, it maintains a transparent and ethical supply chain with minimal carbon overhead.
Pro tip
If your dog is new to discs, start by rolling it on its edge across the ground like a tire to build their 'prey drive' before moving to aerial catches.
