How it compares
This product stands out from traditional grain-free kibbles by removing all animal-derived ingredients while maintaining a 30% protein profile. Unlike standard vegan dog foods that rely on corn or wheat, this formulation focuses on low-glycemic plant proteins to prevent blood sugar spikes. It offers a higher nutrient density than most budget-friendly vegetarian options found in big-box stores.
What to know before buying
- Transition your dog slowly over 10-14 days to prevent digestive upset.
- Ensure a bowl of fresh water is always available as plant-based diets can be dehydrating.
- Consult your veterinarian to ensure your dog's specific health profile matches a meat-free diet.
- Store in a cool, dry place to maintain the integrity of the essential amino acids.
- Monitor your dog's coat and energy levels during the first month of use.

Sustainability & ethics
Evolution Diet sources ingredients from non-GMO crops and maintains a strict no-animal-testing policy. The production process requires significantly less water and land than traditional meat-based pet foods, lowering the overall carbon paw-print per bag.
Pro tip
Mix the kibble with a little warm water or vegetable broth to enhance the aroma and improve palatability for picky eaters.
