How it compares
Benevo distinguishes itself by using fava beans as a primary protein source rather than the more common soy or pea protein found in many American brands. This makes it an excellent alternative for dogs who may have developed sensitivities to soy. It is more affordable than fresh-frozen options like Bramble while offering better ingredient transparency than many supermarket 'natural' brands.
What to know before buying
- Check the bag size to ensure it fits your storage containers as it is imported.
- This formula contains Yucca extract to help reduce stool odor.
- Gradually mix with old food to ensure your dog likes the fava-bean flavor profile.
- The kibble is slightly harder than some brands, which helps with dental cleaning.
