Key features & specs

How it compares

The Wobbel Starter stands out for its specific curve and lighter weight compared to heavy plastic stepping stones or traditional indoor gym equipment. While plastic rockers are common in the industry, this board utilizes natural materials that offer a more organic tactile experience. Wobbel ensures the Starter is more maneuverable for smaller hands than the larger Pro or Original models, bridging the gap between infant gear and big-kid balance boards.

What to know before buying

1. Place the board on a level surface with enough space to rock without hitting furniture.
2. When using on hard floors, choose the version with the vegan felt bottom to prevent noise and floor scratches.
3. The board is rated for 100kg, making it safe for adults to use for light stretching or as a footrest.
4. Clean only with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid soaking the wood or using harsh chemicals.

The Wobbel Starter is the first thing my daughter reaches for every morning, using it as a bridge for her cars or a cozy spot for reading.

Sustainability & ethics

Sustainability is at the core of the Wobbel brand, sourcing all beech wood from FSC certified forests within Europe. The manufacturing process is centralized to reduce carbon emissions, and the optional felt layer is made from recycled PET bottles, keeping the product entirely vegan and free from animal-derived additives. Their commitment to B Corp standards ensures transparent labor practices throughout their European production facilities.
