How it compares
The Arc Chair offers a more sustainable alternative to traditional mid-century lounge chairs that often rely on leather or non-certified plywood. Compared to mass-produced furniture store accent chairs, it provide a significantly higher level of customization and ethical transparency in its supply chain. While some designer chairs utilize non-recyclable foams, Inside Weather focuses on circularity and reduced waste.
What to know before buying
- Select your vegan fabric carefully; the recycled polyester options offer the highest stain resistance.
- Measure your doorway, though the flat-pack design makes it easier to move than pre-assembled chairs.
- Consider the wood finish as it is applied by hand and varies slightly in grain.
- Note that this chair features a fixed recline designed for lounging rather than upright task work.
- Ensure you are comfortable with a 10-minute assembly process.
"The most comfortable accent chair I have ever owned, and I love that no animal products were used in the making of the upholstery." — Verified buyer
Sustainability & ethics
Inside Weather prioritizes a zero-inventory model to reduce waste. Every Arc Chair is manufactured on-demand in the USA using FSC-certified Baltic Birch and vegan materials. Their commitment to the environment includes using carbon-neutral shipping partners and water-based finishes that maintain indoor air quality.
Pro tip
To extend the life of your chair, vacuum the vegan upholstery with a soft brush attachment weekly to prevent dust from settling into the recycled fibers.
