Key features & specs

How it compares

Compared to standard mass-market benches, the Lennon Bench offers significantly higher structural integrity through its thick Baltic Birch core. Unlike retail options that use formaldehyde-heavy MDF or animal-based leather, Inside Weather utilizes exclusively vegan materials and low-VOC finishes. It stands out against high-end designer benches by maintaining a more accessible price point through a direct-to-consumer model that eliminates traditional retail markups.

What to know before buying

1. Measure your clearance height if placing under a low console or table.
2. Consider the vegan velvet fabric options for high-traffic areas due to high rub-count durability.
3. Note that the bench is made-to-order, which typically requires a 2-4 week lead time.
4. Verify your leg finish choice as the wood grain varies naturally between units.
5. Assemble the unit on a soft surface to prevent scratching the carbon-neutral finish.

Sustainability & ethics

Inside Weather prioritizes a zero-inventory model to reduce waste, meaning each Lennon Bench is only manufactured once purchased. The brand uses FSC-certified wood sourced from responsibly managed forests and ships in recycled, plastic-free cardboard packaging. By manufacturing in California, they significantly reduce the carbon footprint associated with international shipping while ensuring fair labor practices under strict US regulations.
