Key features & specs

How it compares

Compared to standard stainless steel bowls or basic plastic dishes, the Outward Hound bowl introduces complex maze patterns that require problem-solving skills. While silicone lick mats provide similar stimulation for wet food, this rigid ABS plastic feeder is far more durable for daily kibble and dry food presentations.

How to use it

1. Select the appropriate maze difficulty (Purple, Teal, or Orange) based on your dog's snout shape.
2. Spread the dry kibble or vegan wet food evenly across the ridges and valleys of the bowl.
3. Place the bowl on a flat surface; the non-slip base will prevent sliding during the meal.
4. Supervise the first few uses to ensure your dog does not attempt to chew the plastic ridges.
5. Rinse or place on the top rack of the dishwasher after every use to maintain hygiene.

Sustainability & ethics

Outward Hound manufactures these bowls using food-safe ABS plastic that is free from harmful chemicals like BPA, PVC, and Phthalates. The brand emphasizes longevity over disposability, creating a product that withstands years of daily use to minimize plastic waste in landfills.
