Key features & specs

How it compares

The Nina Ottosson Dog Brick Interactive Treat Puzzle stands out from basic rubber treat dispensers and static slow feeder bowls by requiring a multi-step process to reach the reward. While basic snuffle mats rely on scent alone, the Outward Hound design integrates physical manipulation through flipping, sliding, and removing bone-shaped covers.

Compared to electronic automatic feeders, this manual puzzle promotes a more natural foraging instinct without the need for batteries or complex programming, making it a more reliable and travel-friendly option for Pet Care routines in 2026.

How to use it

1. Place your pet's favorite dry treats or vegan kibble in the base compartments and under the sliding blocks.
2. Cover the middle compartments with the removable white bone-shaped covers to increase the difficulty.
3. Encourage your pet to sniff out the treats and show them how the red flaps flip open.
4. Supervise play to ensure the pet uses their nose or paws rather than chewing on the plastic components.
5. Once finished, remove all treats and hand wash the unit to maintain hygiene.
