Key features & specs

How it compares

When compared to traditional corrugated cardboard scratchers, the Jiawu Cat Scratching Board offers significantly higher longevity and produces far less mess. Cardboard variants often require replacement every few months and leave paper debris on the floor, whereas this sisal-based board maintains its structural integrity for years. In contrast to carpeted cat trees, the oak-framed sisal provides a more resistant surface that cats prefer for marking their territory, and it is much easier to clean and sanitize.

How to use it

1. Identify the specific corner or wall area where your cat currently attempts to scratch furniture.
2. Secure the board at a height that allows your cat to fully stretch their body while scratching.
3. Use the included mounting hardware to ensure the board is flush against the wall for stability.
4. Rub a small amount of catnip into the sisal weave to encourage initial interest and positive association.
5. Check the mounting screws periodically to ensure they remain tight during heavy use.
