Key features & specs

How it compares

Compared to other limited-ingredient diets like Dr. Elsey's cleanprotein Duck, Instinct Rabbit offers an even simpler ingredient list with no added insect protein, making it ideal for cats with the most sensitive systems. It also differs from multi-protein kibbles like Blue Buffalo Wilderness by using rabbit as a truly novel protein not typically found in standard diets.

What to know before buying

1. Always transition slowly over 7-10 days to allow your cat's digestive system to adjust.
2. Check the ingredient list for any potential hidden allergens; this formula is free from peas, legumes, and potatoes.
3. Store in a cool, dry place and use within 6 weeks of opening for optimal freshness.
4. Consult your vet if your cat has a history of urinary tract issues, as some limited diets can affect urine pH.
5. This food is for adult cats; for kittens, use the Instinct LID kitten formula.
