Key features & specs

How it compares

When comparing Floyd The Platform Bed to traditional upholstered frames, the distinction lies in hygiene and longevity. While upholstered beds often use animal-derived wool or chemical-heavy foams, Floyd utilizes clean wood and steel. In the realm of minimalist wood frames, its modularity sets it apart, allowing for expansion rather than replacement.

What to know before buying

1. Measure your mattress height, as this low-profile frame sits only 7.5 inches off the ground.
2. Ensure you have a hard floor or a very thin rug, as thick pile carpets can affect the stability of the steel supports.
3. Choose the optional headboard at the time of purchase if you prefer leaning back while reading.
4. Check the panel spacing to ensure your specific mattress brand doesn’t require closer slat gaps for warranty compliance.

"The assembly was incredibly intuitive, and I love that I can add a panel later if I upgrade to a larger mattress size—it feels like a lifetime piece." — Verified buyer
