Key features & specs

How it compares

In contrast to traditional box spring setups or upholstered frames, the Floyd Platform Bed offers a much lower profile and superior airflow for foam mattresses. It stands out from mass-market particle board alternatives by utilizing real birch plywood cores and heavy-duty steel supports that prevent sagging over time.

What to know before buying

1. Measure your mattress height as this is a low-profile frame sitting only 7.5 inches off the ground.
2. Ensure you have a flat surface; while the steel feet are sturdy, they do not include height adjusters for uneven floors.
3. Decide if you want the optional headboard now, as it is easier to install during the initial setup.
4. The modular panels allow you to expand a Twin to a Queen or King later with an expansion kit.

"The modular design transformed how I think about furniture; it was the easiest assembly I have ever experienced for a bed of this quality." — Verified buyer

Sustainability & ethics

Floyd prioritizes longevity to keep furniture out of landfills. The birch plywood is FSC-certified, ensuring responsible forest management, and the steel supports are infinitely recyclable. By using a modular design, the brand encourages Repair and Expansion rather than replacement, significantly reducing the carbon footprint over the product's lifecycle.
