Key features & specs

The Once-Kids brand emphasizes precision engineering using natural materials.

How it compares

When compared to standard plastic building sets, the Eco-Bricks Plus 20-Piece Set offers a tactile, sensory experience that petroleum-based toys cannot replicate. While plastic blocks are often lighter, these cherry wood blocks provide a satisfying weight and friction-fit that holds structures securely. Unlike bio-plastic alternatives that can still feel synthetic, Once-Kids utilizes solid wood that ages beautifully and can be sanded or refinished over time.

What to know before buying

1. Blocks are compatible with the most popular plastic building brands already in your toy box.
2. As a natural wood product, these should not be submerged in water for extended periods to prevent warping.
3. The surface is intentionally left natural so that children can use colored pencils, markers, or paint to customize them.
4. Wood blocks have a slightly different clutch power than plastic, requiring a gentle push for a secure fit.
5. The set includes a reusable felt pouch for easy cleanup and travel.

"The quality of these wood bricks is exceptional, and they fit perfectly with our existing plastic sets while feeling much safer for my toddler."
