Key features & specs

How it compares

Compared to traditional meat-based cat treats and even other insect-protein pet foods, Churus treats use a single-source, low-ingredient list that avoids fillers like corn, wheat, or soy. While brands like Jiminy's and Beg Bruiser offer insect-based cat food, Churus focuses on treats with a simpler formulation and smaller portion size, making them easier to introduce to finicky eaters.

What to know before buying

1. Check your cat's acceptance: some cats may need a gradual introduction to insect protein.
2. Store in a cool, dry place to maintain crunchiness.
3. Use as a training treat or occasional snack, not a meal replacement.
4. Monitor your cat's stool when introducing any new protein source.
5. These treats are suitable for cats of all life stages, but adjust quantity for kittens and seniors.

"My cat has severe chicken allergies, and these insect treats are the only ones she doesn't reject. She goes crazy for the crunch!" — Verified buyer

Sustainability & ethics

Black soldier fly larvae farming uses significantly less land and water than traditional livestock, and produces fewer greenhouse gas emissions. Churus sources its insect protein from a USDA-inspected facility in the Midwest, and the paper pouches are curbside recyclable, reducing plastic waste.
