Key features & specs

How it compares

When compared to traditional liquid tempera paints, the Crayola Spill-Proof Washable Paint offers a significantly more controlled experience. Unlike watercolor palettes that require constant water management or standard finger paints that can drip and splatter, this semi-solid formula stays in the jar even if tipped upside down. It provides a thicker, more vibrant application than standard dry watercolors while remaining far more portable than large bottles of craft paint.

How to use it

1. Open the individual paint jars and select your preferred color.
2. Dip a moist paintbrush or a clean fingertip directly into the semi-solid paint.
3. Apply the paint to heavy-duty paper or cardstock for the best color saturation.
4. Gently wipe the surface of the paint clean if colors become cross-contaminated during play.
5. Snap the lids shut tightly after use to ensure the formula remains soft and pliable for the next session.

"This is the first time I've felt comfortable letting my three-year-old paint on the kitchen table without a full drop cloth; the consistency is like a firm gel that simply doesn't run." — Verified buyer

Sustainability & ethics

Crayola has manufactured this set using solar-powered facilities in the USA. The formula is strictly vegan and contains no animal-derived binders or pigments, ensuring it meets modern ethical standards for children's toys. The packaging is designed to be fully recyclable once the individual paint pots are thoroughly cleaned.
