Key features & specs

Every element of the Ergo series by Fiskars is optimized for user comfort and efficient soil movement.

How it compares

When compared to traditional wood-handled trowels, the Fiskars Ergo Garden Trowel offers a more natural hand position that reduces carpal tunnel strain. Unlike steel tools that are prone to rust if left in 2026 spring rain, the cast aluminum head remains corrosion-free. It is much more robust than all-plastic alternatives which often snap when hitting compacted clay or hidden rocks.

How to use it

1. Grip the contoured handle firmly, allowing your thumb to rest in the designated indentation for better control.
2. Angle the aluminum head to penetrate the soil surface at a 45-square degree angle.
3. Use a scooping motion to remove soil or create planting holes for bulbs and seedlings.
4. Clean the blade with a damp cloth after use to maintain the polished finish.
5. Store the tool vertically using its integrated hang hole to save space in your garden shed.
