How it compares
Compared to the MCS Foundry frame, the Umbra Exhibit set offers lighter plastic frames with adhesive mounting, making it more renter-friendly but less durable. It competes with the Americanflat Gallery Wall Set, but Umbra's adjustable back allows fitting multiple photo sizes without separate mats.
Versus solid wood frames like the Heimlove set, Umbra is more affordable and easier to rearrange, though it lacks the premium feel of wood or metal.
What to know before buying
- Remove the adhesive backing carefully to avoid bubbles – follow the included template for spacing.
- Check each frame's back panel to ensure it matches your photo size before hanging.
- Clean the wall surface with alcohol before applying adhesive strips for best hold.
- To rearrange, gently remove the frame and reuse new adhesive strips.
- Avoid direct sunlight to prevent plastic discoloration over time.
“I moved apartments and used these frames in three different layouts already. Super easy to reposition and still look like new.” — Verified buyer
Sustainability & ethics
The Umbra Exhibit Picture Frame Set uses FSC Certified packaging and lightweight plastic that reduces shipping emissions. The adhesive mounting system eliminates the need for hardware, reducing waste, and the brand is known for ergonomic, space-efficient designs.
Pro tip
Use the included wall placement template to map out your gallery wall layout on the floor first, then transfer it to the wall for perfect spacing.
