- E-bike owners requiring a weight capacity of at least 60 lbs per bike.

How it compares
The Thule T2 Pro XTR is often compared to trunk-mounted racks or lighter aluminum alternatives. Unlike trunk racks, it never touches the vehicle's paint, and compared to lighter racks, it offers significantly more stability at highway speeds. It is a heavier unit, but the added wheels mitigate the strain of moving it to a garage.
What to know before buying
- Verify that your hitch receiver is a 2-inch class, as this heavier rack is not recommended for 1.25-inch adapters.
- Expect a two-person lift for the initial installation due to the heavy-duty steel frame.
- The integrated wheels are designed for flat pavement; they may struggle on gravel or grass.
- Ensure your bike's wheelbase is within the 50-inch limit for a centered fit.
- The tool-free AutoAttach system makes securing the rack to the vehicle simple but requires a firm twist.
"I finally feel safe transporting my $5,000 electric bike; the Thule T2 Pro XTR is rock solid even on the freeway." — Verified buyer
