Key features & specs

How it compares

In the world of designer wall shelves, Ferm Living offers a more accessible entry point into high-end Danish design compared to custom-built architectural shelving. While lighter than solid-block oak shelves, the high-quality veneer and metal hardware provide a more refined finishing than DIY-style industrial pipe shelving.

How to use it

1. Map out your wall space ensuring the vertical pillars align with your visual center.
2. Secure the metal uprights first, ensuring they are perfectly parallel using a spacer.
3. Slide the wooden shelves into the designated slots.
4. Tighten the visible brass screws to lock the unit in place.
5. Style with a mix of books and trailing plants to soften the geometric lines.

Sustainability & ethics

Ferm Living has committed to increasing the use of FSC-certified wood across its entire 2026 collection. The Sector Triple Wide Shelf utilizes wood veneers to maximize the yield of high-quality timber, reducing waste, and is assembled using purely mechanical fasteners rather than chemical adhesives or animal-based glues.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Sector Triple Wide Shelf easy to assemble?

Can I add more shelves later?

The Sector system is modular, meaning you can purchase additional components to expand the width of the display.

Is the brass real or plated?

The hardware is made of genuine solid brass which will develop a beautiful natural patina over time.
