How it compares
The Ripple Bench competes with high-end designer plastic benches and upholstered ottomans. Unlike standard plastic seating from mass-market retailers, the Gantri Plant Polymer is derived from non-GMO corn and sugar beets. It offers a heavier, more premium feel than typical hollow-molded seating, providing better stability without the use of leather or wool padding found in luxury ottomans.
How to use it
- Place the bench in an entryway to provide a sturdy surface for changing shoes.
- Utilize it at the foot of a bed for an architectural accent that holds decorative throws.
- Ensure it is placed on a level surface to maximize the stability of its ribbed base.
- Clean only with a damp cloth and mild soap to maintain the matte finish.
"The Ripple Bench is heavier and more substantial than I expected; it feels like a piece of stone but has a soft, plant-based warmth to it." — Verified buyer
Sustainability & ethics
Gantri focuses on local production to minimize the carbon footprint of global logistics. The Ripple Bench is manufactured using a proprietary plant-based polymer that is significantly lower in carbon intensity than petroleum plastics. The brand ensures all artists receive royalties for every piece sold, promoting a fair and transparent creator economy.
Pro tip
Pairs perfectly with minimalist lighting to highlight the shadows created by the ripple effect in the bench's base.
