Key features & specs

How it compares

The Haiku Bed stands out against tradition metal frames and upholstered beds by eliminating VOC-heavy glues and complex hardware. Unlike typical flat-pack furniture that uses MDF or particle board, BedThreads utilizes solid timber, which offers superior durability and a significantly lower carbon footprint over the product's 2026 lifespan. While many modern frames rely on plastic connectors, this frame uses traditional wood-on-wood joinery techniques.

What to know before buying

1. Measure your mattress height as this is a low-profile frame that sits closer to the floor than standard beds.
2. Ensure you have a flat surface for assembly to maintain the stability of the friction-fit joints.
3. Consider the timber color carefully, as natural wood grain varies slightly between individual units.
4. Check clearance underneath if you intend to use the space for storage, as the profile is quite slim.
5. Wait for the wood to acclimate to your home's humidity for 24 hours before final tightening.
