How it compares
Compared to standard contact paper or budget-grade vinyl films, Chasing Paper offers a significantly thicker material that conceals minor wall imperfections better. While more expensive than mass-market brands, the print quality and adhesive reliability outperform generic contact-style wall coverings frequently found in big-box stores.
How to use it
- Clean the wall surface with a damp cloth and let it dry completely for 24 hours.
- Measure the wall and mark a vertical plumb line to ensure the first panel is straight.
- Peel back 6 inches of the backing and align the panel with the top of the wall.
- Use a squeegee to smooth the paper from the center outward, removing air bubbles.
- Trim the excess material at the baseboard using a sharp utility knife.
Chasing Paper transformed my nursery in two hours; the panels are thick enough to handle easily without stretching or tearing.
Sustainability & ethics
Chasing Paper prioritizes environmental responsibility by using FSC-certified paper and VOC-free latex inks. Their manufacturing process is localized in the USA to reduce carbon emissions from shipping, and the product is entirely free from animal-derived adhesives or pigments.
Pro tip
Always order all the panels you need at once to ensure they come from the same dye lot for perfect color matching.
