Key features & specs

How it compares

The Prolux wall‑mount model competes directly with the GV50 Wall Mounted Garage Vac, which offers similar capacity but generally costs more. Prolux’s polyethylene tank is lighter than steel, yet still durable. It also comes standard with both dry and wet filters, unlike some competitors that sell wet filters separately.

What to know before buying

Plan your installation carefully to get the most from this wall‑mounted system.

1. Mount the vacuum to a wall stud or plywood backing — the weight (approx. 30 lbs) requires secure attachment.
2. Place it near an electrical outlet; the 1‑year warranty does not cover damage from extension cords longer than 50 ft.
3. Use the foam filter for wet pickup and swap to the cloth filter for dry debris to maximize filtration.
4. Install the included hose hook to keep the 20‑ft hose neatly coiled off the floor.
5. Empty the tank after each use, especially after wet pickup, to prevent odor and mold.
6. Consider adding an optional dust collection separator for heavy dry debris to reduce filter clogging.

“I mounted this in my garage six months ago and it’s hands down the best investment for keeping my workspaces clean. The long hose reaches across my whole two-car garage.” — Verified buyer

Sustainability & ethics

Prolux products are made in the USA with a mix of domestic and imported components, supporting local labor and reducing shipping weight. The polyethylene tank is recyclable. The machine’s long life (many owners report 10+ years) reduces waste compared to cheaper portables. The brand publishes limited sustainability data, but its local manufacturing and focus on durability are positive.
