Key features & specs

How it compares

While Literati focuses on curated libraries with no merchandise and Bookroo sends four plain hardcovers, OwlCrate Jr. offers a premium unboxing experience with exclusive editions and collectibles that many young readers love. It's pricier per book, but the added items justify the cost for those who enjoy the full box experience.

What to know before buying

1. Sign up for month-to-month to test the waters — you can cancel any time before the 10th of the month.
2. Boxes ship around the 15th and arrive within 3–7 business days in the US.
