Key features & specs

How it compares

Unlike standard carbon steel garden knives, the Nisaku stainless steel blade is highly resistant to rust and corrosion, even when left in damp bags. It is far more versatile than a standard trowel due to its sharp serrated edge that can slice through thick roots and landscape fabric. Compared to cheaper plastic garden tools, this tool is designed to last a lifetime with proper sharpening.

How to use it

1. Use the pointed tip to break the surface of compacted soil or to create a seed furrow.
2. Employ the serrated edge to saw through tough, woody roots encountered during transplanting.
3. Utilize the depth markings on the concave side of the blade to ensure plants are set at the correct level.
4. Lever the knife against the ground to pop deep-taproot weeds like dandelions out of the lawn.
5. Clean the blade after use and occasionally rub the wooden handle with linseed oil to maintain its finish.
