How it compares
Compared to standard paper towels, these unpaper towels from Marley's Monsters save significant waste and cost over time. Unlike typical microfiber cloths, they are completely synthetic-free and won't shed microplastics during washing. They also outperform cotton flat weave cloths because the terry cloth backing adds superior absorbency for spills.
What to know before buying
- These towels come with a snap-button system that lets you roll them into a standard paper towel holder — no special dispenser needed.
- The terry cloth side is perfect for absorbing spills; the flannel side is great for dry dusting and polishing.
- Wash them with your regular laundry; they get softer and more absorbent with each wash.
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners to maintain absorbency and prevent waxy buildup.

Sustainability & ethics
Marley's Monsters is a B Corp certified company based in Oregon. These unpaper towels are made in a local sewing studio from 100% cotton sourced in the USA. The brand uses plastic-free packaging and offsets carbon emissions through a partnership with a reforestation program. The towels are OEKO-TEX certified free from harmful substances and are fully compostable at end of life.
Pro tip
Use a small binder clip to fasten the end towel after rolling onto a cardboard tube — it keeps the roll tidy and allows even small kids to pull towels without unraveling the whole stack.
