Key features & specs

How it compares

When compared to generic silicone sleeves or basic felt pouches, this SleepCover offers significantly better structural support and electronic integration. Unlike bulky universal cases that use elastic straps, the precision-molded shell ensures the device remains slim enough to fit in small pockets while providing edge-to-edge protection. It outlasts cheaper alternatives by utilizing high-grade vegan materials that resist cracking and peeling over time.

What to know before buying

1. Verify your model number as this is designed specifically for the Libra Colour and will not fit older Libra models perfectly.
2. The magnetic closure will automatically wake your device when opened and put it to sleep when closed.
3. The front cover folds back into an origami-style stand for hands-free viewing.
4. Wipe the exterior with a damp, lint-free cloth to maintain the matte finish.
5. Check that the magnets are clear of metal debris to ensure a flush closure.

The Kobo Libra Color SleepCover fits like a glove and the stand is surprisingly sturdy for reading at the breakfast table.

Sustainability & ethics

Rakuten Kobo has prioritized environmental impact by utilizing recycled plastics and FSC-certified paper packaging. The vegan leather construction ensures no animal products are used in the manufacturing of this accessory, aligning with modern ethical standards for electronics peripherals.
