Key features & specs

How it compares

Compared to plastic single-wall tumblers, the Jora Composter JK270 offers superior heat retention that allows internal temperatures to reach 160°F even in freezing weather. Unlike traditional open bins, its sealed steel construction provides total protection against rodents and pests while significantly accelerating the decomposition timeline through its dual-chamber rotation system.

How to use it

1. Fill one chamber with a balanced mix of green (nitrogen) and brown (carbon) materials.
2. Rotate the tumbler at least twice weekly to aerate the mixture and distribute moisture.
3. Once the first chamber is full, begin filling the second chamber to allow the first to mature.
4. Monitor the temperature to ensure the insulation is maintaining active microbial heat.
5. Harvest rich, finished compost from the first chamber after 6-8 weeks of processing.
