Compared to single-dripper-only kits, the HARIO V60 set provides a complete system with a matching server and filters, saving users time and ensuring compatibility. It outperforms generic plastic pour-over cones in durability and heat retention, while remaining more affordable than fully automated machines like the Chemex Ottomatic.
How to use it
- Place a filter in the dripper and rinse with hot water to preheat.
- Add medium-fine ground coffee (about 15g per cup).
- Bloom with a small amount of hot water for 30 seconds.
- Pour remaining water in a spiral motion, waiting 30 seconds between pours.
- Allow coffee to drip completely into the server.
- Serve immediately for optimal flavor.

Sustainability & ethics
The HARIO V60 kit is crafted in Japan using high-quality, durable materials that reduce waste compared to single-use pod systems. The paper filters are compostable, and the ceramic and glass components are long-lasting, minimizing environmental impact.
Pro tip
For a smoother cup, use a gooseneck kettle to control water flow precisely; this enhances extraction and brings out the coffee's natural sweetness.
