Key features & specs

How it compares

Compared to the THERMOS FUNTAINER (plastic, no insulation), the Ello Ellies is heavier and costlier but keeps drinks cold. It competes with insulated stainless bottles like the baab 18oz but is smaller and more affordable, making it ideal for younger children. Unlike cheap stainless bottles, the Ello Ellies has a proven leak-proof lock.

What to know before buying

1. The bottle is not recommended for hot liquids — the straw can spray hot contents.
2. Hand washing the lid prolongs the silicone seal and lock mechanism.
3. The insulated design means the bottle may not fit in some backpack side pockets — measure your pocket first.
4. The firetruck graphic is printed with durable, non-toxic ink that resists fading.
5. Buy a replacement straw pack if you expect frequent deep cleaning.

My son has dropped this bottle down the stairs twice and it barely has a scratch. Ice cubes are still intact after 6 hours at the park. — Verified buyer

Sustainability & ethics

Ello uses 18/8 stainless steel, which is infinitely recyclable. The bottle is free of BPA, phthalates, and lead. Packaging is minimal and recyclable. However, manufacturing is in China with limited public information on labor practices.
