How it compares
Compared to budget 40V blowers (like SKIL or Greenworks), the EGO Power+ LB5800 delivers significantly higher CFM for heavy wet leaves. It also competes with backpack gas blowers but runs cleanly and quietly at 64 dB(A). Trimmer-compatible battery sharing with the EGO ecosystem adds value.
What to know before buying
- This is a tool-only purchase — you need a compatible EGO 56V battery and charger (sold separately).
- For best runtime, use a 5.0 Ah or larger battery; a 2.5 Ah battery runs approximately 15–20 minutes at high speed.
- Variable-speed trigger allows precise control from gentle dusting to full-throttle clearing.
- Flat nozzle concentrates airflow; use the included tapered nozzle for wet leaves.
"I was skeptical about cordless after years of gas blowers, but this EGO is a game-changer — it starts instantly and blows my driveway clean in one pass." — Verified buyer
Sustainability & ethics
EGO Power+ uses Li-ion batteries manufactured under ISO 14001 standards. The tool housing is made from recyclable plastics, and packaging is minimal and recycled cardboard. EGO’s commitment to zero-emission outdoor power equipment reduces reliance on two-stroke engines.
Pro tip
Pair this blower with EGO's 7.5 Ah battery for maximum runtime — you can clear an entire acre of leaves on a single charge.
