Key features & specs

How it compares

Compared to handheld gas blowers, the EGO Power+ is quieter, lighter, and produces zero emissions. Against other cordless electric blowers like those from Greenworks or DeWalt, the EGO offers superior CFM ratings and longer runtime per charge, especially with the 5.0Ah battery. It does not match the outright power of backpack gas blowers, but for most residential tasks it is more than sufficient.

What to know before buying

1. Check battery compatibility: this is a bare tool, so you need a compatible EGO 56V battery and charger.
2. For best performance, use at least a 4.0Ah battery; smaller batteries will reduce runtime significantly.
3. Use the variable speed trigger to extend battery life on lighter debris.
4. Store the blower in a dry place; avoid exposing electronics to moisture.
5. Register your product online for warranty support (5-year limited).
6. Consider the included shoulder strap if you plan extended use — it redistributes weight well.

"I have a half-acre lot and this blower handles wet leaves better than my old gas unit. Battery lasts about 40 minutes on high — plenty for my yard." — Verified buyer

Sustainability & ethics

EGO Power+ is a brand under Chervon, which holds B Corp certification and follows ethical sourcing guidelines. The blower is made in China with high-impact polymers and aluminum that are largely recyclable. The company uses FSC-certified paper in packaging and aims for reduced plastic in blisters. The battery system uses lithium-ion cells, which have a lower carbon footprint than fossil-fuel alternatives over the product lifespan.

Frequently asked questions

Is EGO Power+ Cordless Electric Leaf Blower worth the price?

Yes, the EGO Power+ Cordless Electric Leaf Blower offers professional-grade performance and long battery life, making it a strong investment for homeowners with regular leaf cleanup needs.

Does this blower work well for wet leaves?

It handles damp leaves well thanks to its high air volume of 615 CFM, but for completely soaked, matted leaves you may need to wait for dry weather or use a rake.

How does this compare to the Greenworks 60V blower?

The EGO generally provides higher CFM (615 vs ~580) and better build quality, though the Greenworks may be slightly cheaper. Battery platform compatibility with other EGO tools is a key advantage if you already own EGO products.

Can I use it with a third-party battery?

No, only genuine EGO 56V ARC Lithium batteries are recommended. Third-party batteries may cause poor performance or damage the tool and void the warranty.

How loud is it?

It measures around 65 dB on low speed and up to 70 dB on high — much quieter than gas blowers and typically below noise ordinance limits.
