What to know before buying
- Measure your roof crossbars to ensure the clamps fit correctly (most universal crossbars from 0.5" to 2.5" width are compatible).
- Install the box with the opening facing the rear for safe loading on the roadside.
- Check your vehicle's roof load capacity; this box itself weighs 45 lbs, so subtract that from your total allowance.
- Always lock the box before driving to prevent lid opening at high speeds.
- Periodically retighten the mounting bolts after the first few hundred miles.
"I drove 1,200 miles with this box full of luggage and it stayed secure the whole trip. The extra length fit our skis and a roof bag side by side." — Verified buyer
Sustainability & ethics
The box is made from ABS plastic, a recyclable material (#7), but it is not currently manufactured with post-consumer recycled content. Packaging is a single cardboard box with polybags. FSC certification applies only to the paper manual.
Pro tip
To maximize fuel economy, load heavier items toward the front of the box and keep total roof weight under 110 lbs.
