Key features & specs

The following table outlines the technical specifications of the Bee's Guest House.

How it compares

When compared to plastic bee hotels or bamboo tube bundles, the Wildlife World construction offers superior thermal insulation and breathability. Unlike mass-produced resin alternatives, the solid timber prevents condensation that can lead to fungal growth in bee larvae. It outperforms disposable paper tubes by providing a permanent, weather-resistant structure that lasts multiple seasons in the 2026 climate.

How to use it

1. Select a south-facing or southeast-facing wall to ensure the house receives morning sun.
2. Mount the habitat between waist and eye level (3 to 6 feet) from the ground.
3. Ensure there is no vegetation blocking the entrance holes to allow clear flight paths.
4. Keep the unit still by securing it firmly; bees will not nest in a swinging house.
5. At the end of the season, check for capped holes which indicate successful nesting.

"The quality of the timber is excellent, and it stayed dry through several heavy storms; I saw bees investigating the holes within 48 hours of hanging it up." — Verified buyer

Sustainability & ethics

Wildlife World prioritizes the environment by using only FSC-certified timber, ensuring the wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests. The product is entirely free of plastics and toxic glues, making it safe for both the insects and the soil. Minimalist cardboard packaging reduces the carbon footprint during shipping and is fully recyclable.
