Key features & specs

How it compares

Compared to the BabyBjörn Toilet Trainer and the Fisher-Price Potty Training Seat with Step Stool, the Summer Infant My Size Potty offers a more realistic experience with its flush sound and design that closely resembles an adult toilet. It is a floor potty, unlike the BabyBjörn which sits on the actual toilet, making it better for toddlers who prefer grounding.

What to know before buying

1. Assess your toddler's readiness: look for signs like staying dry for two hours, showing interest in the toilet, or discomfort with dirty diapers.
2. Set up the potty in a visible, accessible location like the bathroom or playroom to encourage use.
3. Use the flush sound feature to reward your child after each successful use, but keep extra batteries handy.
4. Clean the removable bowl after each use with mild soap and water—avoid harsh chemicals to prevent cracking.
5. For boys, ensure the splash guard is properly aligned to prevent messes.
6. Transition to a toilet seat once your child is comfortable and shows interest in using the big toilet.
