Key features & specs

How it compares

Unlike purely aluminum models, the Palram Canopia Natura blends cedar's natural beauty with polycarbonate's practicality. It competes directly with all-wood greenhouses but offers lower maintenance due to the polycarbonate panels. It is more premium than basic pop-up greenhouses, providing a permanent feel without the price tag of full-glass structures.

What to know before buying

1. Place the greenhouse on a level, well-drained surface; a gravel base is recommended for longevity of the cedar frame.
2. Apply a wood sealant annually to maintain the cedar's color and weather resistance.
3. Assemble with a partner and follow the manual's sequence to avoid rework.
4. Use the roof vent to release hot air on sunny days; consider adding a thermometer to monitor internal temps.
5. Ensure the location receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight for optimal plant growth.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Palram Canopia Natura greenhouse weatherproof?

Yes, the polycarbonate panels are impact-resistant and UV-stabilized, while the cedar frame naturally resists rot. Anchoring is recommended for windy areas.

How long will the cedar frame last?

With annual sealing, the cedar frame can last 10-15 years. Cedar is naturally durable, but climate and maintenance affect longevity.

Can I grow vegetables year-round in this greenhouse?

Yes, the insulation from polycarbonate allows for four-season growing in moderate climates, but you may need supplemental heating in freezing conditions.

Does this greenhouse require a foundation?

A foundation is not required, but a prepared level base (gravel or pavers) improves stability and drainage, preventing the cedar from sitting in moisture.
