How it compares
Compared to fixed metal trays like the VIVO Under Desk Cable Management Tray, the Cinati model offers a larger mesh surface with simpler adhesive mounting. It also competes with plastic cord raceways but provides a more rigid, ventilated structure that prevents dust buildup. For users who prioritize no-drill installation, this tray outperforms many screw-only competitors.
What to know before buying
- Measure your desk underside clearance: ensure at least 3 inches of vertical space to fit the tray.
- Clean the mounting surface with alcohol before applying adhesive for maximum grip.
- Plan cable routing: use the included cable ties to bundle cords before placing them in the tray.
- Test adhesive strength: wait 24 hours before loading cables if using the adhesive option.
- Use the screw mount option if your desk has an underside lip or pre-drilled holes.
"I installed this in 10 minutes without drilling. It holds my power strip, monitor cable, and phone charger with room to spare. The adhesive is very strong on my wooden desk." — Verified buyer
Sustainability & ethics
The Cinati tray is made from recyclable steel and packaged in a cardboard box with no plastic. The brand has not pursued formal certifications but the product's all-metal construction supports long-term use and reduced e-waste.
Pro tip
Pair the Cinati tray with a short, flat extension cord to keep both the power strip and all device cables neatly contained inside the tray.
