What to know before buying
- Choose a level, sunny location with good drainage before assembly.
- Anchor the frame to the ground using the included stakes or concrete footings for wind stability.
- Apply a weather sealant to the cedar frame every 2-3 years to extend its lifespan.
- Consider adding an automatic vent opener to manage temperature on hot days.
- Check local zoning laws — some areas require permits for structures over 100 sq ft.

Sustainability & ethics
The cedar frame is FSC Certified, ensuring wood is harvested responsibly from sustainably managed forests. The polycarbonate panels are recyclable and help reduce heating energy. Packaging uses recycled cardboard, supporting a lower-carbon delivery.
Pro tip
Maximize greenhouse efficiency by adding a simple drip irrigation system and a shade cloth for summer. This maintains consistent moisture and prevents overheating without constant manual attention.
Frequently asked questions
Is the BlueWish 6x12 greenhouse kit weatherproof?
Yes, the polycarbonate panels provide UV protection and impact resistance, while the cedar frame naturally resists rot and insects. Anchoring is recommended for high-wind areas.
Does this greenhouse hold up in snow?
The frame supports moderate snow loads up to about 10 inches. For heavier snow, consider a ridge support or manual snow removal.
How long does the cedar frame last?
With regular sealing, expect the frame to last 10–15 years. Cedar is naturally rot-resistant, which extends its usable life compared to pine.
Can I install this greenhouse on grass?
Yes, but a gravel or paver foundation improves drainage and stability. The kit includes ground anchors for soil, though concrete footings offer the best longevity.
